As for us, we're excited about Google's top gifts in the kitchen department. There are five items pulling in the most search traffic, according to data from Google's Shopping Insights. Coffee makers cinch the top spot, with single serve options from Keurig and Cuisinart catching the most attention.
We're breaking down each of the most popular kitchen and home items on Google this holiday season below:
1) Keurig B Single Serve Coffee Maker, $99
According to a Google representative, shoppers are most interested in this appliance in a matte black, but this Keurig appliance also comes in matte white, navy, and a vintage red. You can get the standalone machine for just $99, but Amazon also offers package deals where Keurig will throw in a starter pack of coffee pods.
2) KitchenAid Professional Stand Mixer, $329.99
We're not too surprised to see this must-have kitchen gadget on the list: the KitchenAid stand mixer is as beautiful as it is useful. The Professional model is loaded with a 6-quart mixing bowl and is also compatible with multiple attachments.

3) Dyson V7 Absolute, $249
We're not ashamed to say we've personally contributed to the search volume on this item. One of our editors recently purchased the V7 cordless vacuum on Black Friday, and his kitchen has never been cleaner. Dyson's V7 model comes with multiple head attachments—including two different vacuum rollers, one designed for carpets and the other for hardwood floors—that suck up dust, dirt, grime, and flyaway food droppings with the push of a button. If you frequently spill and drop floor onto your floors, countertops, and little crevices, this gadget is definitely for you.
4) Vitamix Explorian Blender, $299
There's 10 different speed settings on this essential blender, allowing you to whip up healthy smoothies in just a few seconds. Plus, the 48-ounce blender can clean itself with just a drop of dish soap in 60 seconds thanks to a new feature on this Vitamix model. If you're looking for extra savings, Amazon sells a discounted refurbished unit here.
5) iRobot Roomba 960 Vacuum, Starting at $428
This is the one of the newer models from iRobot's Roomba series, the autonomous vacuum that can clean all of your home's floors with the push of a button. You can control it using an app on your phone—or, better yet, you can use Google Home or Amazon's Alexa to give the vacuum directions. Amazon is discounting this item by selling certified Used and Refurbished models for a significant discount online.

However, slow cookers really stand the test of time.
7 Common Sex Dreams and What They Mean, According to Experts
Sometimes they&rsquore just about sex. Other times, it&rsquos so much more.
Dreams are a gateway to our unconscious desires, at least according to Sigmund Freud. In fact, the infamous, turn of the century psychologist called them &ldquothe royal road to the unconscious.&rdquo While not always the case, many dreams can have a deeper meaning, especially ones that involve sex. Still, it&rsquos not always easy to determine exactly what it is your unconscious mind is trying to reveal during REM sleep. That&rsquos why we reached out to three dream interpreting experts, to help us crack the meaning of common sex dreams that nearly all of us have had. likely more than once.
Sex with an ex
&ldquoThe ex we tend to dream about the most is our first love,&rdquo explains Lauri Loewenberg, a certified Dream Analyst who&rsquos analyzed and researched over 75,000 dreams from people across the globe. Not to worry though, sex with an ex doesn&rsquot mean that you&rsquore still secretly pining for them. Actually, these dreams are rarely about your ex at all. &ldquoThey are more about what they represent: first love, excitement, passion, being desired, always wanting to be together, all those wonderful things that make you feel alive!&rdquo Loewenberg explains that if you pay attention to what&rsquos going on in your life, specifically, your current romantic relationship, you&rsquoll likely realize that you&rsquore in a rut or dry spell. &ldquoThis is the way our subconscious reminds us, &lsquoHey, we&rsquore still desirable. We still need these feelings. Let&rsquos spice things up!&rsquo"
The other ex you&rsquore likely to dream about, is the mother or father of your children. Again, this isn&rsquot about loving your ex-partner or yearning for the sex you had with them. &ldquoRather, this dream expresses the need to &lsquoconnect&rsquo with them and become a &lsquounited front&rsquo for the sake of your children.&rdquo
Sex with a stranger
Loewenberg calls these &ldquothe mystery lover dream,&rdquo and they don&rsquot mean you&rsquore yearning to have an affair or want more sexual excitement in your life. &ldquoThe thing you must keep in mind when figuring out your dreams is that everything and everyone in your dream is symbolic of some part of the self or something that affects the self,&rdquo Loewenberg says. &ldquoThat being said, an unknown man in a dream typically represents qualities we associate with that gender: assertiveness, being a go-getter, and standing up for oneself. An unknown woman will typically represent qualities we associate with the female gender: compassion, creativity, sensitivity, and the ability to nurture.&rdquo
Thus, to dream of having sex with an unknown person of either gender suggests you are merging their respective qualities into your behavior. &ldquoFor example, sex with an unknown man is about taking on a more assertive role or attitude. Sex with an unknown woman may indicate you are becoming more compassionate.&rdquo
Sex with a co-worker or boss
While these dreams can make it very uncomfortable at work the next day, remember, as &ldquoembarrassing&rdquo as these dreams can be, they are good because they show you&mdashin their weird way&mdashwhat you can do to improve yourself. &ldquoThe boss dreams are most often about taking on that authoritative, decision-making role somewhere in your own life,&rdquo Loewenberg says.
The co-worker dream can be a little trickier to figure out. It all depends on your gut reaction to the dream. &ldquoIf the co-worker you are dreaming about makes your heart beat a little faster and your palms a little sweatier, well then. sometimes a cigar is just a cigar!&rdquo (In other words, yep, you definitely like them!) But if the thought of being intimate with that co-worker makes you cringe, &ldquoThen there is a simple formula to figure it out, and you can actually apply this formula to any sex dream.&rdquo
Loewenberg suggests you ask yourself which three words best describe your coworker&rsquos personality. &ldquoThen ask yourself if any of those qualifiers would benefit you in your life right now if you incorporated it into your behavior. For example, perhaps the co-worker you are dreaming of is the one that cracks all the jokes in the office. In that case, he may simply represent humor and that is what your subconscious wants you to merge into your own behavior or attitude. Lighten up, have a sense of humor about things!&rdquo
Cheating on your partner or your partner cheating on you
Not to fret, Loewenberg notes that cheating dreams are the most common sex dreams, according to her research. There are two ways to break down infidelity dreams. One, if a partner has cheated you in the past, and two, if a partner hasn&rsquot. &ldquoIf there is infidelity in your past, then these dreams reflect the distrust or guilt that is still there and are nudging you to continue to work on it, rather than be complacent about it. But if there is no infidelity in your past, and these dreams seem to be coming from left field, then you need to figure out what it is that [makes you] feel like a third wheel in the relationship. Usually it is work that is taking up too much of your or your partner's time. But it could be anything such as golf, fantasy football, or even a new baby that is causing you or your partner to feel "cheated" on. These dreams are shining a spotlight on the issue, so you and your partner can figure out how to get more quality time together.&rdquo
Sex with a celebrity
When it's one of your favorite celebrities, then you don&rsquot need a dream expert to tell you what&rsquos plain as day: you want to have sex with them. But if it&rsquos a seemingly random celebrity, like one you are not a fan of, or one you haven't seen or thought of in years, rest assured there is good reason your subconscious chose him or her to cameo in your dream. &ldquoCelebrities in our dreams often represent some part of ourselves we want recognition and applause for. To figure out what that is, use the same formula: what comes to mind when you think of that celebrity? Is it a song? The meaning for you may be in the title or the lyrics. Is it a movie or TV show? Then you may identify with that character or with the story line.&rdquo
Loewenberg continues, &ldquoFor example, I had a client who was having sex dreams about Lenny Kravitz. She wasn't necessarily a fan, so she couldn't figure it out. I asked her what first comes to mind when someone mentions him to her and she said, The Hunger Games movies. Turns out, she was desperately trying to lose weight. Her dream was using Lenny to show her that if she wanted to get down to the weight she was aiming for, she would have to incorporate hunger into her life, and that is not a healthy game to play.&rdquo
Sex in public
Similar to having sex with a co-worker, the interpretation of this dream all depends on how you respond to it. If you find yourself enjoying this dream, &ldquoThis can mean that you want to have people see you as an irresistibly attractive partner and want to flaunt your relationship,&rdquo explains Carole Lieberman, MD, a psychiatrist and dream analysis expert. If you find yourself consumed with shame, &ldquoIt could mean that you are afraid of being &lsquoexposed&rsquo &mdash such as if you are contemplating or actually having an affair.&rdquo
Sex with multiple people
This one, according to Jillene Seiver, PhD, who&rsquos taught human sexuality to college students for more than 25 years, is one of those dreams that&rsquos straightforward. &ldquoYou may actually be thinking about and considering that in your everyday life, so the dream may not be symbolic. Or it&rsquos possible that the dreamer wants to explore variety, or wants to express an aspect of himself that he doesn&rsquot feel comfortable expressing in waking life.&rdquo
At the end of the day, or rather, when you wake up in the morning, you are lucky to have sex dreams&mdashand not just because they&rsquore a fun way to start your day. With them, you can figure out what it is you craving, and then while wide awake, you can go out and turn those dreams, or the deeper meaning of those dreams, into reality.

Garmin eTrex 30x
The Garmin eTrex 30x ($300) is a top-notch handheld GPS navigator. With enhanced memory and display resolution, the eTrex 30x is the most feature-packed model in Garmin’s eTrex series.
With a water-resistant outer coating and a 2.2-inch color display, the eTrex 30x is similar in appearance to the eTrex 20x. The difference is that the 30x is loaded with additional features and increased memory.
The Global Positioning System relies on 24 satellites that are supposed to provide worldwide reception for GPS-enabled devices. In reality, some regions of the world offer better GPS connectivity than others.
To solve this problem, the Garmin eTrex 30x is also enabled with GLONASS connectivity. GLONASS is Russia’s equivalent to GPS, and by utilizing both systems at once, the eTrex 30x functions reliably in an impressive range of areas across the entire globe.
An integrated electronic compass within the 30x is also a helpful means of understanding your own position. This compass works while holding the device in any orientation and is ideal when you want to view a simple directional bearing instead of a full map view.
Additionally, a built-in barometric altimeter uses air pressure to determine your altitude down to an impressive degree of accuracy. Other built-in features include wireless connectivity, a clock, an alarm, and a trip computer.
The Garmin eTrex 30x represents an elite balance of lightweight design with feature-packed performance. At just 12 ounces and boasting a top-class battery life, this reliable device eliminates the need for other navigational accessories.
Though we always recommend having a map and a compass as a backup, the 30x will have you feeling navigating confidently throughout any expedition or adventure.
- Battery life: 2 AA batteries last up to 24 hours before needing replacement
- Weight: 12 oz.
- Memory: 3.7 GB, SD card-compatible
- Clear and bright color display
- Affordable relative to its functionality
- Combines GPS and GLONASS for widespread and reliable reception
- Durable casing
- Easy-to-press large buttons
- Comes with built-in map with aspect shading
Garmin Montana 700i
The Garmin Montana 700i ($700) features a tough and durable build, a large touchscreen, and navigation capabilities that represent the best of the best on the handheld GPS market. Popular with hunters and expeditionary recreationists, the 700 is a newer model from Garmin that performs as beautifully as it appears.
The 700i’s 5-inch high-resolution display looks like it belongs on a high-end smartphone. An updated Gorilla Glass screen ensures that the massive display is hardy and not too fragile for the backcountry.
Multiple global navigation satellite systems are enabled on the 700i, including GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo. These systems can be activated simultaneously for extra-reliable reception, even in tight ravines and dense forests. Multiple preloaded TopoActive maps allow you to see many features of the terrain on your screen, including peaks, lakes, major roads, and trails.
Garmin has maximized the connectivity of the 700i, and it can interface with other smart devices using both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. This makes it easy to share your location, download satellite imagery, connect to the Garmin app, and more. Other built-in features include an accurate altimeter, a barometer to monitor weather, and a three-axis electronic compass.
Because of its vast connectivity capabilities and its huge, brightly lit display, the 700i has a shorter battery life than other more simplistic devices on this list. Also, it weighs a hefty 1.46 pounds.
Compared to the 700 version, the 700i includes satellite messaging and the ability to send out SOS signals in case of emergency. Instead of carrying a separate device for satellite communication, the 700i builds this feature into its already long list of functions.
Though this device wouldn’t be described as svelte or lightweight, it’s most certainly among the most advanced handheld GPS devices on the market. For users who prioritize a large and easy-to-view display that offers an experience similar to a smartphone, the 700i is a technological marvel built for outdoor adventure.
- Battery life: 18 hours
- Weight: 1.46 pounds
- Memory: 16 GB and compatible with microSD cards
- Huge, high-resolution display
- Integrated satellite messaging and SOS capability
- Rugged construction with Gorilla Glass screen
- Lots of internal memory
Garmin Oregon 700
The Garmin Oregon 700 ($400) could be considered a pared-down version of the Garmin Montana 700i. Thanks to a large 3-inch color touchscreen, the Oregon 700 offers an intuitive user interface reminiscent of a smartphone.
Compared to the Montana 700i, this model is smaller and more compact, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your needs. For backpacking or other forms of overnight backcountry travel, we like the smaller size because it’s lighter and takes up less space but still offers tons of features and easy-to-use appeal.
Though the Oregon 700’s 16-hour battery life is on the shorter side, it makes up for this with impressive storage capabilities that can hold up to 10,000 waypoints. Like most of Garmin’s handheld GPs devices, the Oregon 700 can access both the GPS and GLONASS satellite networks via a built-in antenna.
In the connectivity category, the Oregon 700 can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth to display active weather patterns on its own screen. Quick to respond to all touchscreen commands, users can expect little frustration from the Oregon 700 when using it in the field.
Because of its large touchscreen and lack of physical buttons, this device is best used in warm and dry climates where the user won’t be using gloves. Though the whole device is water-rated to IPX7, the screen becomes almost useless when wet.
Overall, the Oregon 700 is a high-quality device that combines technological luxury with a compact size, a good value, and lots of practical features. Compared to the Montana 700i, the Oregon 700 is smaller and lighter, which likely appeals to those trying to maintain a lightweight kit.
The Oregon 700 is also cheaper at $400. For $50 more, this model is also available with a built-in camera. Overall, we recommend this device to anyone who wants a modern handheld GPS for use in climates that don’t require the user to wear gloves.
- Battery life: 16 hours
- Weight: 7.4 ounces with batteries
- Memory: 3.4 GB and compatible with microSD
- Large smartphone-like touchscreen
- Easy-to-learn interface
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity
- Can hold up to 10,000 waypoints
- Rarely lags

Farmhouse Style Isn&rsquot Going Anywhere, According to Google Trends
Do you remember a time before you knew the term shiplap? It was probably 2014 or so, before Chip and Joanna Gaines became mega famous for their HGTV show Fixer Upper, where they often showcased farmhouse style interiors. In fact, the look has been so popular that people have actually blamed the interior design stars for thieves stealing barn wood across rural Kentucky earlier this year. Will the trend ever wane? According to Google, it's still going extremely strong.
Google&rsquos Top Charts, which highlight topics with a high search volume each month, listed farmhouse style as the number-one trending home style of 2019. The style trended the most during the months of January, August, September, and October.
We&rsquore not surprised, though. There are quite a few iterations of the farmhouse style (industrial, French, modern) to suit many tastes. Earlier this year, we asked designers if the modern farmhouse trend was dead, and they ultimately came to the same conclusion as Google Trends. Despite the rising popularity of dark colors, wallpapered ceilings, and maximalism, the designers found that the modern farmhouse still isn&rsquot going anywhere. While the basic elements and design inspiration of the style might be morphing, it doesn&rsquot mean the style is dead. Designer Tyson Ness found that his clients were drawn to the style because of its approachability and classic materiality.
Still, if all those rustic elements aren't your thing, Google probably already knows what you're into. Other super popular trending topics in the home space this year, per their report? Try Cape Cod style, Spanish style, Art Deco, and colonial.
Vikings enjoyed fashion and the allure of precious metals and they strived to incorporate this into their day-to-day lives by crafting beautiful ornate ornaments as described above. However, unlike most cultures, jewelry pieces in Viking culture typically had a dual purpose, being used both for aesthetic appeal and as a form of currency, much like carrying money in your wallet or purse.
Evidently, Vikings were not the barbarians most people assume they were, they were an organized, sophisticated people with a rich culture that has more in common with most other cultures of their era.
30 Most Popular Door Prizes for a Women’s Retreat
Having meaningful door prizes at your women’s retreats generates excitement and extra fun. Not that the ladies come for the door prizes, of course!
But still, don’t you know they get just a little more attentive and energetic when their names are drawn?
I like to write about different icebreakers and breakout sessions for retreats, but I sure don’t want to leave out the door prizes we hand out. Door prizes are so much fun!
We give out a couple of door prizes at the beginning and then again at the end of each large group session. This helped with timing and keeping things running smoothly.
The ladies hurried to start so they wouldn’t miss out on prizes and stayed to finish. You can adjust this according to what works best for your retreat. I’ve been to a retreat where they gave everything out last. That certainly kept the ladies to the end.
